About us

Our mission

We celebrate Canarian craftsmanship and the hands that make it possible.

Our mission is to bring you soulful pieces, created on the island, so that each object tells a story and keeps the work of our artisans alive.

Contact

Our concept

La Trastienda is a space where handmade creations have their own place.

We believe in unique pieces, in sincere materials, and in the beauty of imperfection.

Here you will find objects that are born from the territory and carry a piece of Canarias with you.

Shop

The team that brings LaTrastienda to life

People who care for every detail to make each visit special.

Leti

Soul, root and heart

Leti is the origin, vision, and drive of LaTrastienda. A trained nurse, she swapped the hospital for the workshop, the shop, and the territory, never losing her way of caring. Her sensitivity, persistence, and honest understanding of the local have shaped a project that is not just bought, but felt.

Sonia

Hostess soul

Sonia is the most experienced member of the team and the pillar of day-to-day life at LaTrastienda. In charge of the space and a graduate in English Philology, she combines professionalism, sensitivity, and an enormous ability to connect with people from all over the world. She is passionate about telling the story behind each piece and conveying the value of local products with a closeness that leaves a mark.

Sabrina

Creative soul

Sabrina not only sells crafts: she lives them. Together with her husband, she drives her personal project “Maderita”, where the work with hands, wood, and design takes shape. In LaTrastienda, she brings that authentic vision of the creative process, the respect for slow-cooked work, and the passion for pieces with soul.

Marianela

Soul guardian of memory

Marianela is the newest member of the team and a lover of history and culture. With a degree in History and specialising in pre-Hispanic culture, she brings a deep and respectful perspective towards our roots. From LaTrastienda, she learns the craft every day, connects the past and present, and conveys love for the territory through each object.
